Browsing Our Online Catalogue
It's as easy as clicking shop on the main
menu, displayed graphically at the top of every screen (beneath the web site title) and in text at the bottom of every
screen. You'll be presented with a list of products which Golda's Kitchen offers for sale online.
Since there are a large number of products available for sale, we divide the list across one or more pages.
The first line (immediately below the main menu) of each page identifies the scope of products displayed in the list,
for example, All products in Golda's Kitchen or
Baking products.
Beneath that is an indication of which products are currently displayed on screen and the total number of products
available to be displayed, for example, Displaying 1 - 25 of 78 products.
This indicates that the first 25 products are displayed on this page, and that there are 53 other products which will
appear on subsequent pages (specifically, products 25 - 50 will appear on page 2, 51 - 75 will appear on page 3, and
75 - 78 will appear on page 4).
You have several options for manipulating the information which is displayed in the product
list:

The Product List
The product list is how Golda's Kitchen displays the products which are offered for sale online.
Each row (alternately shaded) in the list displays information about one particular product.
The information which is displayed about each product includes the following:
• category: Categories are groupings of similar products, for example
baking or cooking products. Each
category is further divided into subcategories, such as cake pans and
pie plates within the baking category.
Depending on the scope of products being viewed, this column will display the category and/or subcategory in which the
product is grouped.
TIP: To view only the products within a particular category or subcategory,
click on the category or subcategory name.
• thumbnail: If product photos are being displayed (see explanation below:
"Displaying Product Photos"), a small photograph of the product will be displayed in this
column.
TIP: To view a larger photograph and details about the product, click on the
photo.
• product: The name of the product.
TIP: To view details about the product, click on the product name (also see
below: "Viewing Product Details").
• description: A brief description of the product.
TIP: To view a lengthier description of the product, click on the product
name (also see below: "Viewing Product Details").
• size: The dimensions of the product, generally expressed in inches ("). The following abbreviations are
used: L = length
W = width
H = height
D = depth
Dia = diameter
• brand name: The manufacturer of the product, together with any branding information.
TIP: To view only the products of a particular brand, click on the brand
name.
• price: The selling price of this product. All prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include applicable
taxes (i.e., Goods and Services Tax, Harmonized Sales Tax, or provincial sales taxes).
• your order: To purchase an item (i.e., add it to your order), enter the desired quantity (the default value
is one) and click on the BUY button. Once an item has been added to your order,
the quantity on order and the words on order will appear.
TIP: To view all of the items in your order, click on the words
on order.

Moving to a Different Page
If there are more products available to be displayed than will fit on one page, a list of page numbers appears on the
right hand side above the product list and on the left hand side below the product list.
The current page number is highlighted. You can jump directly to any other page
simply by clicking on the page number.
Or, you can proceed to the next page by clicking the next page icon which will
appear below the product list.
Similarly, you can click on the previous page icon to move to the page
immediately preceding the current page.

Sorting the Product List
To help you browse our extensive catalogue, you can control the order in which products are displayed in the product
list. Sorting options are displayed on the right hand side immediately above and below the product list. The current
sort order (if other than the default sort order) is highlighted.
The following sorting options are available:
• default: By default, featured products are displayed first in most product lists. Featured
products are those which Golda recommends, are new, or are on sale.
When viewing a product subcategory (for example, cake pans within the
baking category) lists are displayed in alphabetical order by the product
name.
• product: The product list is displayed in alphabetical order by the product name.
• category: The product list is displayed in alphabetical order by the product subcategory name. Within each
product subcategory, products are displayed in alphabetical order by the product name. This option is not available when
viewing a product subcategory list, since all of the products displayed are in the same subcategory.
TIP: To view only the products within a particular category or
subcategory, select the category/subcategory from the browse by category menu
on the left side of the screen.
• brand name: The product list is displayed in alphabetical order by the product brand name. Products
having the same brand name are displayed in alphabetical order by the product name.
TIP: To view only the products of a particular brand name, select the
brand name from the search by brand listbox in the shopping menu in the left
column of the screen.
• price: The product list is displayed in ascending order by the price (i.e., lowest priced items are
displayed first). Products having the same price are displayed in alphabetical order by the product name.
• new: New products are displayed first (in alphabetical order by product name), followed by other products
(also in alphabetical order by product name).
TIP: To view only new products, select
New Products from the shopping menu in the left column of the screen.
• recommended: Products recommended by Golda are displayed first (in alphabetical order by product name),
followed by other products (also in alphabetical order by product name).
TIP: To view only products recommended by Golda, select
Golda Recommends from the shopping menu in the left column of the screen.
• on sale: Products on sale are displayed first (in ascending order by the price), followed by other
products (also in ascending order by the price).
TIP: To view only products on sale, select
Products On Sale from the shopping menu in the left column of the screen.

Controlling the Number of Products Per Page
Depending on the size of your computer screen and the speed of your Internet connection, you may want to increase or decrease the
number of products which are displayed on each page of the product list. By default, up to 25 products are displayed
on each page.
Using the more products per page and
fewer products per page icons below the product list, you can cycle through
displaying 10, 25, or 50 products on each page.

Displaying Product Photos
Photos of most products are available; these are displayed when viewing the details about a
particular product.
However, depending on the size of your computer screen and the speed of your modem, you may want to view thumbnails
(small photos) of each product when viewing the product list. To do so, click on the
show product photos icon which appears below the product list. Similarly, you
can click on the hide product photos icon to turn off the thumbnails.

Viewing Product Details
To view more detailed information about a product, including a larger photo and the product's availability, click on
the product name or photo. On the product detail screen, you will also be presented with a list of related products (if
applicable).
